One
soggy Saturday, I was ruthlessly playing Fruit Ninja on my iPod when I looked
up and noticed a trail of prehistoric-looking, 4” deep footprints that were
filled with water! The footsteps started
at the front door, went through the foyer and living room, and right up the
stairs. The amount of money that it
would take to repair the floor was tremendous.
I had to find whoever created craters in the floor and evict them before
the whole house was destroyed!
“I
am putting an end to this!” I declared, and grabbing my wooden sword and shield
from the Renaissance festival, I started following the peculiar imprints. The obscure tracks led in a direct path to
the attic. When I arrived at the door to
the attic, I loudly announced “Whoever is in there needs to get out now, or I
will drag you out myself!” As if in
reply to my message, a thundering roar erupted from behind the door! Desperate to get the creature out, I threw
open the door and launched myself into the attic to see what made the
footprints – a Velociraptor!
Brandishing
my sword and shield, I charged the Velociraptor! When I reached him, I found that the sword
was now platinum with an emerald blade, and the shield was totally diamond. I jabbed at him, but he parried and stepped
backwards to the open window which gave me an idea! I kept jabbing at him until he was at the
window then I smacked him out the window with my shield. I slammed the window and locked it.

I
headed back downstairs and was relieved and surprised that the footprints were
all gone! I have no explanation for any
of this, but I was so exhausted from the battle that I couldn’t even play iPod!

I want to know where Otto and Lulu were when all of this mayhem was unfolding!
