Anders vs. the Evil Wizard from Mars

.

I still don’t understand what happened, but I will give you a personal account of the event.  It started when I was playing with my Lego minifigures, completely oblivious to what was about to happen.  Suddenly, I found myself in a pitch black, arctic environment!  The combination of white and black pigment made the scene look like a black and white photograph.  I was in Antarctica!  More than anything, I wanted to go home, to get out of this barren land, and to continue playing with my Legos.

In the distance, I heard the soft, sweet sound of jingling bells.  Acutely listening to the strange sound, I discovered that there were occasional “ZAPs!” followed by a short pause in the bells.  Just then, a horse pulling a creepy old man on a sled limped into view.  The horse had a sticker on its hoof that said: HELLO!  MY NAME IS Z!   Z looked like he had recently fought the fireplace; from head to toe he was covered in burns and scorched jingle bells!  The malevolent old man was wearing a nametag that said: EVIL WIZARD: HIGHLY DANGEROUS: KEEP AWAY!!!! IF FOUND, BRING BACK TO MARS!

The Evil Wizard lifted up his staff and a sharp blade shaped like a lightning bolt emerged from the top!  Then, I found something T-shaped in a bag at my feet.  I picked up the hilt, and a 12 inch long diamond blade shot out!  Engraved on the hilt was the sword’s name: Shard.

The next thing I knew, the Evil Wizard was flying at me on his staff!  I sidestepped, narrowly avoiding his Lightning-Staff, and the Evil Wizard flew over the water and landed on a faraway iceberg.  When the Evil Wizard landed, the force of the impact made his staff fly upward, eventually landing at my feet.  I quickly grabbed the weapon and dashed toward an unhappy Z.  Then I used Shard to swiftly cut the chains that attached Z to the sled.  When the job was finally done, I snapped the staff in half.

As soon as the object that the Evil Wizard had used to teleport me to Antarctica (the Lightning-Staff) was broken, a portal back to my house appeared.  I hopped into it, and I was immediately sent back to my house.

The End!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Grampa says:

Anders, I agree with your Mom - this is one of the best pieces you've ever written. It was so good I immediately started reading excerpts to Grammy because I thought it was so good. You have gift for writing stories. More, please!

  3. Unknown says:

    I love it!!! Daddy....

  4. I need to add my kudos. This is definate highschool quality. Who is this guy named Anders anyway? I want more. I Oma's life the word malevolent was still as foreign as any English word she had to learn after coming to this country. She never went to school to learn English. You are one up on her but I explained: Having or showing a wish to do evil to others.

I'd like to see you write a small play Anders. Imagine you're a playwrite who writes the talking parts of a movie. A long, long time ago I used to do that and imagine wildest interactions humans could have. Try it.
